Аннотация

The author analyses the socio-cultural background and mental mechanisms of the famous Polish revolution of Solidarity — the first among similar “velvet revolutions” in Eastern Europe. Basing on the long-term sociological investigations held in this country, it demonstrates relative stability of the hierarchy of values and civilizational orientations, typical for the whole region during the whole of 35-years system change.
